Lambda won the prize ONCE, established for the bicentenary of Louis Braille . The President of the ONCE Foundation gave an award to the LAMBDA project along with nine other European institutions that have distinguished themselves for projects and activities that have promoted the Braille.
The Foundation for the blind ONCE is the Spanish association organized for the Bicentenary of Luis Braille a traveling exhibition on the theme of the Braille system. On the final day on 10 September in Madrid in La Casa Encendida was held, attended by President and CEO of ONCE, the award of 10 European institutions that have promoted the integration and emancipation of the blind through Braille system. The motivations of the status of the project are linked to having lambda offered by new technologies with a novel solution to motivate and facilitate the study of mathematics to blind students.
In addition to the project among the winners is mentioned the President of the European Parliament for having approved the directive on the Braille labeling of medicines, Spanish Interior Minister for introducing the voting procedure in Braille, Farmaindustria which launched the Braille labeling of medicines 4 years before the European Directive, the AUCHAN who pioneered the labeling of over 200 articles in Braille, Centro de Arte Reina Sofia National Museum for having created a section accessible.

Giuseppe Di Grande, the author and owner of the software Biblos DIGRANDE.IT, informs that in Biblos has added the ability to print in Braille code also Italian mathematician of Lambda.
