The European project
LAMBDA is a research project funded by the European Commission – IST programme – that aims to produce an integrated systemto write and read mathematical texts for blind students.
The wide consortium, 14 partners representing 7 European nations, ensures proper attention both to the various aspects of the problem(computer science, Mathematics, didactics) or the needs of the users in each country.
The LAMBDA project is supported by the European Union IST - Information Society Technologies
Action Line: Persons with special needs, including the disabled and the elderly - Systems for independent living.

LAMBDA is a three year project which started onstarted on 1st September 2002.
